Biography
Evan A. Basakis graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of California, Berkeley in 2008. While attending U.C. Berkeley, Evan was the recipient of both the prestigious H.W. Hill Scholarship and the William O. Morgan Scholarship. Due to his outstanding record at U.C. Berkeley, he was admitted to Chapman University’s Dale E. Fowler School of Law on a full scholarship.
In 2011, Evan served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Theodor C. Albert, Federal Judge of the United States Bankruptcy Court, Central District of California. In 2013, Evan received his Juris Doctor from Chapman, and he was admitted to the California Bar in December of that same year.
After graduation, Evan was an associate attorney at Songstad, Randall, Coffee & Humphrey LLP, and then at Muzi & Associates APLC, where he practiced litigation in the areas of real estate, construction, business, title insurance, escrow, and labor and employment. Prior to joining The Estate Lawyers’ team in 2024, Evan was a litigation associate attorney at Bradley R. Kirk & Associates, Inc.
Evan’s practice focuses on trust and probate litigation, including legal disputes concerning trust and will contests, fiduciary accounting disputes, breach of fiduciary duty claims, and financial elder abuse.
